5 & Diner is seeking qualified franchise candidates who want to live by our motto of "Fun, 5 & Diner Franchise Food and '50s". We want people who are passionate about the family restaurant franchise business and the 5 & Diner brand. We offer single and multi-unit development opportunities and look at the following criteria in making our franchise offering decisions:

  • Food-service management/operations/ownership experience preferred
  • Investor groups are acceptable with qualified managing partner
  • Strong local and community ties to support marketing of the business.

Financial Qualifications

  • Single unit development – $250,000 liquid assets; $750,000 net worth
  • Three unit development – $500,000 liquid assets; $1,000,000 net worth
  • Five unit development – $750,000 liquid assets; $1,500,000 net worth
  • Ten unit development - $1,500,000 liquid assets; $3,000,000 net worth

 

5 & Diner Franchise

Investment Costs

The initial franchise fee to open a 5 & Diner franchise is $25,000. The costs to open a 5 & Diner franchise restaurant will vary by location, but the range of investment for an in-line or end cap location are as follows:

  • Inline or endcap unit - $250,000 to $750,000
  • More detailed Cost and Criteria information is available in the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD).

Real Estate Criteria

Our new 5 & Diner franchise restaurant prototype calls for an inline or end cap location of approximately 3,000 square feet. We will also consider freestanding units in appropriate markets.
